This late-game NES game feels modern, is superbly animated, and sounds amazing. It plays like most other Kirby games, so it's a bit on the easy side, but enjoyable nonetheless. It saves progress automatically, and the battery still works.
Completed world 1/7.
Completed world 2/7.
The Kirby Laser is great!
There's a Nebulous-looking rotating tower. It looks pretty great.
Completed world 3/7. Kirby destroyed the sun and the moon. He's a horrible monster.
Just had time for a little Kirby before 2014 ended.
Ah ... Kirby runs nice and fast on my US NES.
Completed world 6/7.
Those final couple of levels were pretty interesting. One was a level with GameBoy graphics, in black and white, supposedly inducing premature nostalgia for the original GameBoy game which came out one year earlier. Then, after defeating King Dedede, Kirby is hurtled into space, and the game changes into a horizontally scrolling shooter boss fight, and then back to a platform game.
completed the game.
A lot of cool graphical effects in this game, like parallax scrolling, and the background tiles glitching out when Meta Knight is hit.
Johanne and I played through the early parts of this cute game. The girls recognized the game from a later version on the DS.
Malu tried this adorable game for the first time tonight.
