  • I got this game for cheap at play.com, and it seems really neat. Driving around on Mars and demolishing buildings and shooting dudes is great fun, and the multiplayer is really entertaining as well.

  • I just love the randomness of all that happens in this game. I just killed a shitload of EDF soldiers, only to be defeated by a windmill, slowly sliding down from a cliff (after I shot rockets at it), slowly crushing me... Ouch.

  • Man, I really enjoy this game - this is the quintessence of open world games, guerilla attacks, hiding from the EDF, and crazy random events happening all the time. In this game, I progress doing what I always do in open world games, running around, experimenting with the world, and destroying random stuff...
  • Haha... I was escaping from huge numbers of EDF in a completely busted vehicle, ran into the Guerrilla base, jumped out of the vehicle, that ran into a wall and exploded. Sorry guys - my bad!

  • Euw. Torture? I'm not into that. This game doesn't have to be *that* realistic...

  • I love the 'unexpected features' of physics-based game. I was hammering on a big sign, when it slowly toppled over and crushed me to death. Later on, I was hammering on an enemy sniper, and pounded him right through the floor. Just now, I'm riding around in a car with an enemy soldier with his head stuck in the rear trunk of the car. :D

  • Visiting the Marauders.
  • That last mission is pretty hard. I tried it several times using just the tank, and once, trying to clear the way before using the tank. I can't figure out how to do this... Must sleep now.

  • Completed the game. The last mission was annoying. I feel I only beat it because I got lucky. Still, good game.

  • I got the 'Demons Of The Badlands' DLC, playing as the Marauder faction. It's all very 'Road Warrior', and I feel like I should be listening to Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
  • I'm glad I returned to RF:G, I was reminded how much I enjoyed its particular brand of destruction. There is something about driving a truck through a concrete wall, shooting guards around you, rapidly placing a daisy chain of remote charges around a huge building, detonating them, and then methodically removing the supporting pillars with the hammer. What an amazing feeling when the building creaks and moans, and finally crumbles under its own weight.
  • Completed the game on Normal (2/3) difficulty (Demons of the Badlands). Annoying checkpoints in the last mission. I spent half an hour carefully moving through a dangerous section, destroying every building on my way, only to die randomly. No progress was saved, and in frustration, I just drove an EDF truck through everything, ignoring enemies, and went straight for the target. And it worked. :S
  • Got the Structural Integrity achievement. - Destroyed a lot of buildings in 'Demons of the Badlands'. The best part of this game.
  • Got the Deliverance Defender achievement. - Demolition actions are *the worst*. They are demolition puzzles, which is a great idea, but they have limited ammo, very limited time, and long retry timeouts. Frustrating.
  • Got the Ares' Bloodlust achievement. - That was easy ... using a map.
  • OK, after looking at the list of Achievements, and what with multiplayer being almost dead, I think I'm not realistically going to have the patience to get any more of them.
