Oh no! I accidentally also preordered this game...
Got it in the mail. Too tired to play, though, I think...
Played it for the first time. Using Mordechai, the hunter, and got him to level 11.
Played the whole day with Jeppe Carlsen, Peter Buchart, and Johannes (don't know his last name). We got into a few quests that were way too hard, which made the experience less than perfect... Still fun though.
Leveled up to 20. I have a Torgue KKA2 Double Anarchy SMG that fires 4x42 damage bullets. Sweet.
I didn't care at all about the Borderlands universe, but the excavations and weird monsters sort of strikes a H. P. Lovecraft chord with me. Which is good.
Started a couple of new characters with Jauert and Stone: a Hunter and a Berserker.
My Hunter is now Level 30. I'm fighting The Crimson Lance, and they're real badasses.
I've discovered the Crimson Lance Enclave. I'm very close to the end now.
completed the game with Mordechai (Hunter).
Man, this game is so awesome. It's a *game*, everything is secondary to the gameplay, which is the way it should be. And the redneck western style permeates the game, right down to the cool end credits music.
Played a bit with my level 15 Soldier.
Leveled my soldier up to 20.
Damn, I just played most of the night without noticing it...
My Soldier is now level 26.
Urrgghh... So much Borderlands. My Soldier is now level 32.
... Level 34.
completed the game with Level 36 Soldier on Playthrough 1 difficulty.
Accomplished Completed all 126 missions (Playthrough 1). I needed to consult a forum to get the full list and manually compare it to my mission list in the game. Took a while, but that allowed me to find the 4 missions I was missing..
Got the DLC: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned.
Started Playthrough 2, which is surprisingly challenging and fun, and after playing the first couple of missions and leveling my Soldier up to level 38, I jumped into the Zombie Island. Unfortunately, the missions are level 42, so I am dangerously under-leveled. However, this actually makes the missions a bit more fun, as the zombies are genuinely scary, when they are 4 levels above you. After playing for a couple of hours, I am now level 39.
Consider this the start of my 2010 Halloween Zombirific Horror Gamefest (or HZHG). It's on, you undead bastards...
Reached level 40.
Oh man, that Jakob's Claptrap with wood panels is so cool. I want one for my apartment. Also, I killed zombies all day and am now level 44.
completed the game.
Completed The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. My level 46 Soldier made short work of the evil Dr. Ned, got the 1 point achievement, directly to a fast credits roll, only to be interrupted by Undead Ned, a horrible abomination that I also made short work of :).
Bought the DLC: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. I want to see the Drifters, big creepy harvestmen. Euuwwww.
Played a lot. Leveled up to level 49.
Got the United We Stand achievement. Defeated Krom with Nabaz, although he was level 1 and I was level 48 and he died from one shot. However, he was leveling up so fast from my kills that at the end of the 15 minutes we played, he was level 10 :)
It turned out that Jauert bought Borderlands again for the 360, so now we've started playing together, which is so much fun. He has a Hunter, and I'm running around with my mad Beserker, all punches and shotgun blasts.
Completed The Zombie Island with Jauert. My Beserker is now level 30.
I played with Jauert on Skype for 11 hours and 17 minutes today, which very well could be a personal record. That Borderlands really swallows your time.
Played part of The Secret Armory of General Knoxx with Jauert. We met Mad Moxxi, that big-boobed maniac.
Played Borderlands split-screen with Jauert. Him as a pedantic Hunter, me as a stark raving mad Beserker. Quite the odd couple. We're playing the General Knoxx DLC. And it's 4:45. Maybe sleep is in order...
completed the game with Brick (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx).
Finally. And now my day-night-cycle is completely messed up.
JEEZ, those Circle of Duty missions are *painful* to play as a Berserker. We've spent hours upon hours completing the first 5/6 missions, using cowardly tactics unsuitable for Brick.
Got the Ding! Overleveled achievement.
- My Soldier reached level 51. Also, he has like 6 million $.
Hmm... To get 100% achievements in this game, I'm just missing using the Siren's action skill to kill an enemy. I should make that a Random Achievement Challenge.
Got the Truly Outrageous achievement.
- Got it! After half an hour of playing as the Siren, she was level 5 and I killed some bandits with her action skill.
