COMPLETED

G-Darius is a horizontal shooter similar to Gradius, but with the enemy capture mechanic of Galaga. Enemies are often robotic fish, and different enemies act as different weapons when captured. The bosses seem influenced by DonPachi, with more bullet hell-ish style of attacks. The soundtrack by Hisayoshi Ogura (and others?) is very unique, orchestral hardcore techno with an unusual amount of vocal sounds and dramatic piano.

After selecting the easiest settings possible, I reached the last boss of Zone Nu and died at the 'hands' of The Embryon. I'm playing on the great mednafen emulator.

    Completed the game (BEGINNER).

This game is amazing! The stages are ridiculously dramatic, with huge space battles going on in the background, and boss fights introduced by awesome cutscenes. The frame rate gets a little low sometimes, but when you look at what is happening on screen, it's not exactly a surprise.
