  • Got the score 93100. This game is hard. Using the Konami Code while paused yields a full power-up, and I'm using it to get a chance of getting past the two volcanos. I reached stage 2 and was killed by a swarm of Zubs.
  • Got the score 128400. Reached stage 3, the one with the Moai heads.

  • That demo "AI" is disappointingly stupid.
  • The two cheats:
    • Pause game, then Konami Code (UUDDLRLRBA Start) to get full option level.
    • On Game Over screen, press DUBABABA Start to continue. Can only be done once.

  • Erik's Nintendo Classic Edition had Gradius on it, and I had to try how far I could get. It actually went OK, I reached the Moai heads before I was shot down and got stuck with the awful starting weapons.

  • Erik brought out the NES Classic and we played a bunch of the games. I didn't remember how to input the Konami code so I couldn't get far in Gradius.
