  • A Life Force-inspired shooter where you control a dude instead of a space ship. The power-ups are cool, but the slowdown is also very real. Currently, I'm in Heathrow airport, waiting for my plane back to Copenhagen after visiting Austin, Texas for a week.
  • Argh, that downwards scrolling stage is killing me. Especially the part after the wormy boss fight.

  • I got an EverDrive N8 for christmas, but hadn't been able to get it working. The N8 would boot, but always give me the same ERROR 40: SD INITIALIZATION ERROR. Making sure that I hadn't been putting the SD card in backwards, I tried flipping it around and managed to get it halfway in. That clearly wasn't right, but when inserting it correctly again, the little clicking mechanism that holds the card in worked for the first time and the cartridge worked. It turns out that the SD card had never clicked into place, because the mechanism hadn't worked before, even though I had tried it many times. Somehow, inserting the SD card the wrong way got the mechanism working. And the first ROM on the list was Abadox.
