Campaign 2: CRSX KZN3 XC3
6-button Controller Bug - Do not play this game with a 6-button controller! The game shipped with a bug that auto-skips cutscenes and intelligence info if you're using the 6-button controller. If playing on an emulator, make sure to set your controller to a 3-button controller.
Co-pilots - according to the manual, co-pilots have 3 skills: Winch control = grab radius, Range Aim: effective firing range, and Rate: rate of fire.
No explosive damage - when you're on foot, you don't take damage from explosions. You can stand right next to an exploding barrel.

Be methodical in the on foot missions. Shoot barrels and missile racks for hidden power-ups. You can shoot the box-shaped turrets from outside their range.
The game has 8 campaigns.
According to ChatGPT 5-thinking, Urban Strike has been reviewed as the easiest of the series.
Genesis > SNES version - I compared this version to the SNES one on MiSTer.
The frame rate on Genesis seems rock solid, but on the SNES there seem to be frame spikes quite often.
The control scheme on SNES is similar to the 6-button Genesis controls, and doesn't seem to use the shoulder buttons for strafing, which is disappointing.
I think the Genesis version is superior.
On Foot Missions Suck - The Desert Strike gameplay works as great as in the previous games, but then they added long on foot missions. The isometric levels look a bit rough and unpolished, your character tends to get stuck on walls, and the difficulty is higher than the chopper missions, making this the most frustrating part of the game. At least you get infinite continues in the on foot section (they knew).
