I have been thinking a lot about 90's style FPS games these days, and although Ion Fury is brand new, everything about it is extremely 1990s. The game was built in EDuke32, which is a modern version of the Build engine, Ken Silverman's 3D engine used in Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and Redneck Rampage. The main character, Shelly 'Bombshell' Harrison, is basically a female version of Duke.
It's getting more difficult, especially the Warmech boss fight. The movement speed in this game is insane, and everything is so precise, it makes me want to become better at controlling FPSes with mouse and keyboard.
Completed the game on Wanton Carnage (2/4) difficulty (Campaign).
Campaign is finished, it was fun the whole way through, even the last boss, although I thought the throw-bombs-down-a-hole idea was a little bit boring.
