Deathsmiles: Deluxe Edition (Xbox 360)

Deathsmiles is a horizontal bullet hell shooter, starring cute teenage magic girls. The characters can shoot forwards and backwards. The Xbox 360 version has unlimited continues, which lessens the replay motivation, as you have already seen most of the content during your first playthrough. This is a trend in emulated arcade games that I really dislike - better solutions certainly exist. The only incentive to keep playing, is achievements for 1CC (One credit completion), which, like many shooters, is kind of insane. Still, the basic shooty gameplay is fine, the controls are more or less like a horizontal DonPachi, with a well-defined hitbox (a little heart) displayed on your character. The end bosses are hilarious, they include: Deathscythe, the reaper, Mary, the cow, Jitterbug, the main villain, and TYRANNOSATAN, which just may be the best name ever for an end boss.
