Analysis

I'm conflicted when thinking about 'It Takes Two'. On one hand, it is absolutely packed with charming and well executed ideas, the levels are varied and each area has a new coop mechanic to play around with. They all feel good and are well used in puzzles. Some levels, like parts of the music area, feel pretty amazing to play through. On the negative side, we both disliked the dialogue and voice acting, and the game was just too damn long, with every idea being repeated a few too many times.

Malu and I started playing this coop 3D puzzle platformer. None of us like the storytelling or voice acting much, but the game itself has a lot of charm, and a constant stream of gameplay ideas, keeping us interested.

We played a bunch of this game, still enjoying the gameplay although I wish there was a little less repetition in each level, but the ideas just keep coming, and some of them are genuinely clever.

The scene with the poor elephant was horrible. Remind myself to never show this to a child.

    Completed the game.

    We finally beat the game.
