This is a race against a field of AI opponents.
This game runs at 20 FPS, except for color cycling and the scrolling backdrop, which runs at 60 FPS.
For some reason, I always thought this was a slightly modified port of Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, but it seems to be it's own game, although it is very similar.
