Ropert Peip's Nintendo 64 is progressing at a crazy place, and Mario Kart 64 seems to actually run and be fully playable, with sound and almost correct looking graphics.
I won the first race with Yoshi.
It's interesting how this looks like a PlayStation game, at least at this stage of development of the N64 core. When I've tried a real Nintendo 64, the games tended to look more blurry than PS games.
This is the new ritual that I go through when there is a new core coming to MiSTer. I read vampier.net's info on setting up the core, download a ROM archive and transfer them to my MiSTer. The entire ROM set of the Nintendo 64 is relatively small, the zipped archive was only 4 GB. And then I started trying random games to see if they run. A lot boot up, most have graphical glitches, and some, like Mario Kart 64, just seems to work.
