I can't believe Helldivers actually has a sequel now. I don't know if it's a good solo game, but we might play some coop soon, which I'm looking forward to.
I went through training and beat a Bug mission. It's fun, but I need some co-op partners.
I joined up with Mikkel G, his colleague Dan, and a stranger that entered our game before Mikkel set up the privacy settings. We played a bunch of missions until 1 at night. We both played against Bugs and the evil Robots.
I played two missions, but one got stuck, and the other I didn't seem to get anything out of after being stuck in the mission finished screen for a long time. Maybe I shouldn't play this at night.
I did a solo mission, then was joined by Mikkel for a mission, and then played some more solo. Playing solo against the bugs, Easy or Medium seems OK, but I get destroyed even on Easy against the Bots.
I got destroyed by bugs on Erata Prime. Zero survivors, 3/5 star mission success, a 'Worthwhile Sacrifice'.
I saw Ikaros online, and joined the game. First I was playing with Tuki, and shortly after Mikkel joined the game. It was great fun to play with them. Later on, I joined Erik for some more bug extermination. I got the Watchdog assault rifle equipped drone and a laser rifle. Great progress.
Launching nukes and killing bugs.
The latest update gives free access to 1 mech, which is a gamechanger. I need to be level 25 to permanently unlock it, though.
I think I need to get a Shield Generator Pack.
I'm playing on Challenging to get the rare samples.
I defeated a Bile Titan. I used air strikes and the mighty Recoilless Rifle.
I just played a fun session where Mikkel G joined. We played some truly harrowing missions on Challenging difficulty.
I managed to collect enough Super Credits to unlock the Steeled Veterans Warbond (it's like a battle pass). I got some Incendiary Grenades which are cool, and the Incendiary Shotgun, which I thought I would like - however, it gets me killed, because it doesn't kill enemies fast enough. I think it's better for multiplayer games than solo play.
I played a few missions with Mikkel and Erik, it didn't go well, I'm too tired. Then Malu wanted to play, and she started playing on her own profile. She's doing well, even joined a few games with other players and supported them.
I was playing with Erik, and then Mikkel joined along with a fourth team member.
I tried a Hard mission solo and failed hard. Challenging seems more fair, and I still get rare samples, so I can upgrade my stuff.
I spent 1250 'PlayStation Stars' reward points (that I've been getting by buying games) on 375 Super Credits and got myself another War Bond. It feels less wrong to spend one fake currency on another than buying it for my hard earned DKK.
I found a Detailed analysis of Patrol Spawning.
I played for hours with Malu joining me using her MacBook with Steam doing Remote Play with my workstation. We are now playing on Medium, which goes quite well. We also tried a few Challenging missions, but it's a bit too difficult right now.
Completed 100 missions.
We played all day on Steam Remote Play / PS5. After Malu got the essential 'Rover' drone, we switch back an forth between Challenging and Medium, depending on our mental energy levels. I'm level 24 now, very close to unlocking the EXO-Patriot. As far as I can see, there is nothing that unlocks after level 25, so from that point, I will focus on unlocking all the equipment. I have over 1000 Super Credits ready to buy the Polar Patriots Warbond when it comes out next week.
I played a couple of missions solo before work. I'm getting very close to level 25.
Mikkel G joined my game, and we played 3 missions on Challenging difficulty, which got me a bunch of Rare Samples and XP. I'm now level 25, and spent 20,000 Requisition to buy the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit.
The newest global goal for the game is hilarious: we should kill 20 BILLION Automatons to use for melting into mines. The community is now at 2%.
After a stressful day, Mikkel, Malu, and I dove into Hell and killed a lot of bugs. We played on Challenging difficulty at the end, which went well, yielding a lot of Rare Samples.
After about 100 hours of playing this game, I upgraded all ship modules 1 level. The progression in this game is slow as hell.
I demoed a Medium level for Bjørk, and used the new autocannon mech for the first time.
Finally, the cross-play friends list bug seems to have been resolved, and Malu and I could add each other! We started playing on Easy, ramping up to Challenging. The game seems slightly easier than half a year ago, which is nice. I can actually get my Rare samples without dying from stress.
