- 7176This is an interesting take on the vertical shooter genre. In the style of the old Elder Scrolls games, you level up your weapons by using them. And in this game, you have an entire arsenal at your fingertips: no less than 7 different weapons, all suited for different situations. There are two main modes: Arcade and Story modes. Arcade mode has continues and a configurable number of lives, whereas Story mode seems to have no continues, but your weapon progression can be continued between attempts. And the progression is no joke: my level 9 Vulcan gun and my level 10 Spread gun murders early bosses without them ever getting an attack in. Crazy stuff. This is a really satisfying style of shoot 'em up, one that I'm actually surprised hasn't been copied more.
