EA got me to install Origin by teaming up with humblebundle.com and selling the not-so-humble bundle of Battlefield 3, Burnout Paradise, Crysis 2, Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor, and Mirror's Edge, and The Sims 3 for 30 DKK, most of which went to charities, and none of which went to EA. Ridiculous.

  • Played a tiny bit of the campaign - this game sounds very cool. The soundtrack sounds a bit like Terminator played through an awesome guitar amplifier.

  • I had to try a proper PC game on my new Dell XPS 8700. I installed Battlefield 3, set graphics to Ultra, and it ran fine. Then I set it to High, and it ran even better. Game looks great, and the shooting feels good, although I prefer a controller - there is just something about having to pull a trigger to shoot that feels right. The campaign is a largely joyless experience with confusing scripted sequences, quick time events, and military guys barking orders at you. I wish I could set up a bot match and shoot some AI dudes...
