    Back when I was a happy European PlayStation owner, I used to wonder why pre-rendered cutscenes used to look choppy like they had an unstable frame rate. I'm realizing now that pre-rendered PSX cutscenes just looked better in Japan and US, because they were rendered and played back in 30 or 60 FPS. Cutscenes were not necessarily re-rendered for PAL territories, and the solution seemed to often be to skip frames to match the 25 or 50 FPS of the PAL TVs.

    I got a visit from Thomas J and Nabaz at work, and we played some Tekken 3 on mednafen with Jacob, who also played a lot of Tekken in his day. The emulation is perfect, and only the inferior 360 D-Pads were giving us trouble.

    I have played a pirated copy of Tekken 3 since '98, but now I finally bought the real version fair and square. It feels very nostalgic to look at the RECORDS, where it shows just how much time we wasted on this game.

    The exhibition in Øksnehallen had a PlayStation Classic and I played a round of Tekken 3 with Erik, who was very focused on beating me. I lost, as I was distracted by this being the PAL version of the game. It feels weirdly slow, now that I've gotten used to playing the US version.
