- Excellent vertical shooter, very impressive in graphical detail, and a fun two player game.
- I never realized before, but SWIV's graphics seems very inspired by the arcade shooter Raiden, which came out the year before SWIV; The hard shadows, the smoldering craters, and the big tracked tank in the desert all appear in both games. SWIV is definitely not a clone, though, the jeep gameplay and transforming into a boat over water is unique to SWIV.
