- I bought this supposedly mediocre Transformers game on a whim. I hope I won't regret it.
- Based on a FAQ, this game has 14 Autobot chapters and 14 Decepticon chapters, located in Shanghai, USA, and Cairo. I should have played this back in 2011, when I was actually living in Cairo.
- Completed 4/14 Autobot missions. So far, this plays reasonably well, although the frame rate is a bit on the low side. It is a bit funny that the Autobots are carelessly trampling civilians and vehicles, and destroying constructions around them with abandon. When the 'bots are in robot form, the game actually plays a lot like PS2 game War of the Monsters.
- The unicycle Demolishor is one cool design.
- I *hate* that you can't transform to vehicle mode without driving insanely fast. I can't even look at the vehicle, because it is never stationary, except when I'm driving it full speed into a wall.
- My first death after 10 missions, and it was pure carelessness. Seemlingly, the levels don't have checkpoints, so you just start over.
- Defeated Grindor.
- I'm back in Cairo! But Devastator is devastating it...
- One long and boring boss fight later, Devastor has become devastated.
- Completed the game on Normal difficulty (Autobots Campaign). After an uninteresting battle between Optimus Prime merged with Jetfire and The Fallen, I completed the campaign. Although the basic fast-moving, third person shooter gameplay is OK if a bit overly simple, the implementation feels rushed and unpolished. Every level is a big square playground, and the missions have no variety to them. A completely uninteresting game, that clearly shows how much High Moon improved upon the franchise.
- Sideways, Grindor, and Long Haul? Who cares about them? My team should be Brawl, Vortex, and Shockwave.
- ... Also I died only once during the Campaign.
