  • I tried playing the Metal Gear Survive beta for a couple of hours. I don't think this game is for me, but the beta might be too limited to tell. It only seemed to have a survival mode where you protect a resource extraction thingie from being overrun by weird crystal zombies. I played the mode alone, which wasn't fun, and then played online with another dude, which also wasn't fun. Everything else seems like it could be a well-crafted survival game based on MGS5, there are an incredible number of systems, menus, and crafting components, and everything works well enough. What the full game will be is still a mystery to me.
