The sound design is great in this. All the Tech Priest voices sound like eletronic demons, and they all sound unique.
This game has a clever way of getting a lot out of very few graphics assets. You have your base menu, where you upgrade and select missions, which is just a few areas. Then you have your dungeon crawls, that are taking place on an abstract holo-map. When events happen in the dungeons, you'll get still images and descriptions of events, and it actually feels quite good. I'm starting to imagine what the dungeons look like, and enjoy traversing them. And then the battles take place in maps that use the same simple box-shaped assets in different configurations. The models are super simple, but the whole thing looks good because of good color choices and a cool overall style to the visuals.
I'm now understanding what this game is about. Mainly, its about character builds. You cannot respec, so carefully chosing your character upgrades and combining them with appropriate equipment is the name of the game. I accidentally unlocked two helmets for the same character, that's an example of what not to do.
