This game is a sci-fi first person shooter where everything is on a plane in the vein of Wolfenstein 3D. In US and Europe, this was a launch title for the PlayStation.
I'm getting interested in the earliest PlayStation games, seeing if I can understand more about the transition that developers went through to adapt to 3D rendering. This particular developer, Genki, worked with 3D rendering from very early on, starting in 1992 with 'Redline: F1 Racer' for the SNES, so adapting to the PlayStation might not have been a big leap for them.
This game feels more like a dungeon crawling RPG than a first person shooter, and even though the simple planar FPS controls work fine, it's frustratingly dull in its level design and enemies. I got bored with it after the first level.
