  • The intro has really nice art, and great music by Yuzo Koshiro.

  • The ratmen squeaking has stereo positioning! I've never noticed that in a Genesis game. It's left, center, and right panning and seems to be attenuated with distance. Amazing.

  • This is such a Zelda clone. First mission, I'm going to the Water Shrine.

  • I got a cool sword, but now it's gone!? Do the weapons break? That would be annoying.

  • I beat the Water Shrine, and got a little magic spirit I can summon.

  • I beat the Fire Shrine, and got Efreet. The last boss fight was a complete mess of fireballs and weird skeleton parts. I don't know if I'm missing some mechanic, but that was frustrating.
