This game is first and foremost a play on nostalgia, which totally works for me, I loved Alien Breed on the Amiga. The gameplay and style is very similar to the original, basically a top-down survival horror game. It works, but is a bit lacking in auditory and visual gameplay feedback, specifically some feedback to attack hits would have been nice. The graphics generally look great, with a nice 80s sci-fi horror tone. However, the framerate is not quite there, and the camera controls are annoying (maybe its just that I feel that they are reversed :). The sounds and music are very well done, very atmospheric and with a nice tense feeling. The main problem is the mission structure, which is mind-numblingly dull, sort of like the structure of Borderlands, but without any character or engagement.

- 444Completed chapter 1 - Aftermath. I like it so far, good atmosphere and the graphics is OK. A few sound glitches, but nothing to detract too much from the overall experience.
- 1006Completed the game on Veteran (2/3) difficulty and got the score: 357873. Completed in 01:23:28. This was the first game completion in my awesome and huge Cairo apartment. I'm playing on an old CRT TV, which provides all the benefits of super-fast response, bad sound, unreadable text, and a nice color bleed on anything red. Cool! :) The final worm boss battle was lame: repetetive, and too easy. Also, the animations were poorly tied into the gameplay.
