- 10651I have renewed my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for a month to play this. It looks like a lot of fun.
- 10654I tried to install this, but the Xbox Windows app returned a very suspicious error code '0x00000001'. After a quick search, I found a reddit post that told me to go to the official Microsoft support page for installing games under Windows 10.
- 10655After selecting the 'still having trouble' item, Microsoft suggests a very low level solution: start PowerShell as administrator, and run the following commands:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
then I'm redirected to a Windows Store page where I can install 'Gaming Services' from Microsoft. I assume this means I'm uninstalling and then reinstalling some service that is needed for the game installer. - 10656The install process failed with other errors several times, but when I retried, they succeeded. I guess it could be a server load problem, this game is probably getting a lot of downloads right now.
- 10657OK, after installing it, the game showed a box that it isn't compatible with my AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card (work computer). This is what I don't like about PC games.
- 10658I updated my graphics card driver to version 20.2.2, and now the game starts. Phew.
- 10661It runs perfectly, and I can even record in 4K using OBS Studio with the H264/AVC Encoder, preset: High Quality Recording. The combat is fun, it reminds me of XCOM, and the difficulty is perfect for learning the systems.
- 10686I was wondering why I wasn't getting any achievements, but as I started it up again, I'm getting a whole bunch of them.
- 10696I tried to record another mission, but the OBS 4K 60FPS recording failed, even though the test recording worked fine. This is annoying.
