The Fin upgrade from the The Bio-Electric Set provides 100% damage resistance. Maybe worth trying for the Orca Apex boss fight.
Leash - The Orca and Sperm Whale Apex both had a leash, a distance where I can pull them, beyond which they mindlessly return to their area. If you can get them to attack beyond the leash range, and then start wailing on them, pushing them away from their area, they are pretty much defenseless.

- I played 2 hours of this shark simulator. It's very simple and a bit rough, but somewhat satisfying to level up your shark and upgrade it. It reminds me a lot of SNES evolution action RPG E.V.O.: Search for Eden.
- This is very much an action RPG. Right now, I'm trying to collect the bone 'armor set' which gives me better defence. The basic gameplay is pretty mindless, but somewhat satisfying, and I enjoy the way the game looks under water.
I was looking for a mindless RPG, and continuing the shark simulator seemed like just what I needed.
Seems like the game synchronously loads areas when entering them. The game freezes for many frames when going from area to area.

I defeated Scaly Pete by being very careful and delivering him one of his own torpedos.
