Everspace 2 (Xbox Series X)

I was going to buy this on PS5, but apparently, it's coming to Game Pass next week. Very much looking forward to playing this.

This seems OK, but immediately some annoyances popped up. The worst issue is that the game is very stuttery, having frame rate spikes up to 3 seconds(!) every time you travel from area to area. I have read that this is just the a problem with the Xbox version. Another annoyance is that you can't really configure the controls very much, and the presets all weirdly use hold R3 to roll, which is a very strange choice. I guess this game is mostly flat, but I don't like playing space sims that way.

Also, I got tired of the voice acting and music very quickly.

The game was updated and now seems to run perfectly. Actually, this was all according to plan according to entries by Rockfish on the EverspaceGame reddit. The Game Pass version was a bit older, and the update that was already out on Windows was scheduled to come out a bit later. It's unfortunate, but I understand how this can happen.
