Getting a guided tour in great detail by Erik, I reached The Last Giant boss without much trouble. The boss itself was proving too much for my tired brain right now, so I think I'll save it for later. Playing the game this way has been much more fun than playing its predecessor alone, where everything is a mystery and every choice seems to have the potential to ruin the rest of the game.

Got the Last Giant achievement. - Thanks to patient guidance from Erik, I got a lot of upgrades for my Dark Souls dude DoctorSvinus, used a Human Effigy and summoned a helper dude, and finally defeated the Last Giant.

I wanted Nabaz to try Dark Souls, so we created a new dual-sword wielding dude, and Nabaz went on to blindly dive into the game. He seemed to like the experience, even though the game was constantly trying to murder him.

I jumped back into my own game, and without really thinking too much about it, defeated the Dragonrider boss and reached No-Man's Wharf.

After a long session in No Man's Wharf, I finally defeated the Flexible Sentry. Apparently, the passage to the next area is in the ship.
