  • Gamescom 2019 had a giant retro area with rows and rows of arcade games, old consoles, computers, and pinball machines. I found the oldest game, seemingly the original arcade hardware, mounted in a plexiglass box, so you could see everything. I played against a couple of kids who gave me their best, but still lost to someone who spent a considerable amount of time thinking about Breakout and Arkanoid since the 70's.

  • Musée Mécanique: I played a few games with Malu. I love how direct the paddle controller feels.

  • I found the whole schematic for Pong, it's beautifully small.
    As far as I understand, the beep frequencies of 246 and 491 Hz are generated directly from the video sync. 1
