I bought this yesterday in El-giganten for me and Malu. We started playing split-screen today, me as the robotic sniper with mutated pets, FL4K, and Malu as Amara, the many-armed siren. So far, it's both good and bad - the weapons are fun and varied, and the controls work fine, but when any players has menus open, which you're doing *all the time* in this game, the frame rate becomes unplayable unstable and bad. Hoping for a patch.

Malu and I finally unlocked the ability to travel in the spaceship.

Malu and I started a new splitscreen game. We don't have two PS5 controllers, and you can't play PS5 games with a PS4 controller, so we had to play the PS4 game. Malu's savegame was on the old PS4, and wasn't in cloud storage because she doesn't have PS Plus, so we started a new game. We played for over 3 hours, up until reaching the planet Promethea. Malu felt nauseous and had a headache at the end, so I think it was too long. I have turned down the OLED intensity to half now, maybe that helps.

The PS4 version in performance mode runs way better now on the PS5, very smooth, even in the menus. However, the textures look pretty terrible in spots, worse than what you would expect, even if it was a Xbox 360 game.

I believe we did 6/23 main missions.

After picking up new PS5 controller, we can now play the PS5 version of this game. I used the custom system for uploading my Borderlands 3 save data to the cloud from the PS4 version. Then I switched to the PS5 version and downloaded the save, restoring my character. I then did the same for Malu. Ridiculously inelegant solution to this problem, but at least it worked flawlessly. Then I could delete the PS4 version from my console, which interestingly takes up more space than the PS5 version, probably because of data duplication for faster loading, as Mark Cerny have discussed in his PS5 GDC talk.
