I used to play this on my brothers Amiga 500, and really loved the music.
Climbing controls from the manual:
CLIMB UP
|
STOP -- O -- DESCENDPUSH AWAY: FIRE BUTTON
Rescuing hostages from the manual:
In order to secure the hostages you must move them all, one by one, to the small room in the upper right corner of the third floor (the room without any windows). Once you lead a hostage into this room, he will remain there and will not follow you out.
The ambition of this game is impressive - the terrorists move around the embassy building freely, and you use a combination of snipers and assault officers to kill the terrorists or bring the hostages to safety. The sniping is simple, but works OK. Assaulting the building is a tile-based third person shooter, which is super cool, but doesn't feel that great. The movement is extremely laggy, and the joystick shooting controls with no aiming reticule is extremely annoying. A few changes could improve this, e.g. the shooting could be reset every time you change rooms.
I completed TRAINING and TARGET again on Lieutenant level. After struggling with the climbing controls and how to rescue the hostages, I finally consulted the manual. It's all in there.
