I have not played an Assassin's Creed game since II, this one has gotten good reviews and it's for the PS4. I just ordered this and should have it monday the 30th.

This is pretty good. Finally, a decent game for my PS4. :)

Played through 11% of the story. Having fun with stabbing dudes.

19% through the story. The missions that involve sneaking through an enemy encampment and assassinating someone are a lot of fun, much like Tenchu, you are outnumbered, but all the enemy guards are blind and retarded, so as long as you don't commit any stupid mistakes, you are good. The zones where you are hidden are clearly deliminated (dense plant foliage) and you can track enemy movement using a tag system very similar to Crysis. All the mechanics are simple and clear, the way that all stealth games should be.

I've been trying to get back into this game. It's not without its problems, an unstable frame rate being the worst, but it has its moments. I have to re-learn the nature of the game, such as the South being more dangerous than the North, and how to get resources to upgrade my pirate ship.

I've been systematically taking over all the level 1 and 2 forts, which is very satisfying, leveling up my ship along the way.

I've been thinking about the similarities between this game and Sid Meier's Pirates, sailing around in a pirate ship, attacking ports, and searching islands for treasure. I think the developers might be fans of the 1987 game.

I've been doing missions and sunk ships to gain money and level up my ship.

3 hours more of sinking frigates, and I think I'm ready to proceed with the story missions.

Stabbed a lot of dudes in Kingston. Like a lot.

I've reached a point where I basically just want to finish the game as quickly as possible. So I'm doing that.

    Completed sequence 8.

    This game is too long.

A fun sequence out of the Animus - apparently someone are trying to take over human minds with AI. Having just played Black Ops III, this is strangely familiar. This seems to be the Allstory for the 10s.

Completed the game. Finally done. This game is too long, it got boring halfway through. The combat gets super boring after a while, it's basically 'wait for attack, counter, attack, repeat'. The combat in the Batman and Middle-Earth games is way more challenging, fun, and dynamic, even though the combat systems in those games are superficially very similar to the combat system of the Assassin's Creed games. The ship combat is functional and reasonably fun, although boarding ships got old very quickly. They should have reduced that to being automatic about a third of the way through the game. I didn't enjoy any of the strict stealth sequences, especially the 'follow'-type missions. It's probably because I play so combat-oriented, that I never got good at stealth stuff. Just following a couple of dudes through a town was almost impossible for me. I guess I'm not wired for that kind of thing anymore.

The final artifact you seek is a skull with the power to watch anyone who's blood you possess. This game joins the ranks of dubious skull-based stories such as 'Indiana Jones 4' and '50 Cent: Blood on the Sand', while simultaneously being similar to stories about powerful surveillance devices, such as 'The Dark Knight'.
