Dig Dug is one of the earliest single-screen games where you dig through the level, later exemplified by games such as Boulder Dash. Dig Dug is special, though, because you kill enemies by inflating them, which, when I think about it, is pretty horrible. It is a great game, which I have played quite a few times, but didn't record a score before now.

The current world record is 5,225,260 points. I think maybe I won't go for it.

I tried to continue a few times, but it seems the levels just loop with more of the same enemies on top of each other. Apparently, there is a kill screen at level 256.

Got the score 65870 in MAME. I did an OBS test recording in 900x1200 (60 FPS) with a bit rate of 6 MB/s. This was my first experiment with recording vertical screen games in portrait mode. It should improve fidelity and look better on mobile phone screens. To my surprise, this test recording ended up being my best Dig Dug score yet.

    Got the score 29210.

I got to play one of my favorite arcade games at the 'Pinball Hall of Fame' in Las Vegas.
