The ColecoVision was developed by Coleco Industries, originally founded in 1932 as 'The Connecticut Leather Company'. The system would be quite popular and sell more than 2 million devices in the early 1980s.
Sega's first console, the SG-1000, replicated the ColecoVision hardware after a failed business deal between Sega and Coleco.
