- 1679It's D-day.
- 1680Connecting to the servers for this game was a nightmare, but switching to US servers finally worked, and I played up to level 10 with Erik and Jeppe.
- 1681Started a new Barbatian character on the Europe server.
- 1682Gonk the Barbarian is now level 8. Very enjoyable game, if a bit simplistic until now.
- 1683This would be so much better with a controller...
- 1684Blllrrrggg.... Need sleep. My barbarian, Gonk, is now level 14. My mouse-fingers hurt. Great game.
- 1686Defeated The Butcher with my level 17 Barbarian.
- 1687Defeated that annoying witch Maghdathat annoying witch Maghda. My Barbarian is now level 19.
- 1699Barbarian level 24. My fingers hurt.
- 1700I wanted to take a break from Diablo, and while doing that, I made a new Demon Hunter character named Zark and leveled him up to level 5. Damn it.
- 1701That Zoltun Kull - never liked him. Too showy.
- 1705Completed Act II. Belial, The Lord of Lies had a cool boss fight scene change, and wasn't all that easy. But nothing prepared me for the sheer awesome metal-ness of the cutscene introducing Azmodan, The Lord of Sin. I had to turn off the light and sit up in my couch. It was just that awesome! :)
- 1706Barbarian level 26.
- 1722Started a new ardcore Monk character (Hardcore means that death is permanent) and played for a short while with Kjems and Mikkel G at Playdead. I didn't feel any different about the gameplay, but playing a Hardcore character just seems to lend the game a bit more weight.
- 2735Played some more with Kjems, Mikkel, and Erik @ Playdead. Completed act 1.
- 2995I didn't play Diablo III for a while and almost forgot about it, until I tried a demo of the new Xbox 360 version and wished that I had waited and gotten that one. The game seems to work very well with a controller. To counter my own annoyance with this issue, I downloaded a D3 client for my laptop and wanted to get back and finish the game. To my surprise, My Monk character 'TankMunk' was level 60. My account had been hacked at one point, and I didn't do anything about it for some time. Turns out that when my back was turned, someone had been playing my Monk for 238 hours, collecting 99 million gold, and selling 34 items in the Auction House. Now I almost feel bad for stealing the account back from someone who could have grown very attached to the character.
- 2996Not feeling comfortable playing with what I feel is some other dude's character, I've resumed playing from Act III with my level 26 Barbarian.
- 2997Demonic Tremors! Oh my.
- 2998I have completed 22/31 quests.
- 2999I have completed 24/31 quests.
- 3011Killed Cydaea, The Maiden of Lust by holding down the right mouse button. Barely a game on Normal Difficulty.
- 3012Completed the game with Barbarian on Normal difficulty. Killed Diablo, who looked suspiciously like an Alien. The slow crescendo to the final part in Heaven was pretty cool. Too bad that I didn't have to learn any sort of finesse to complete the game.
- 3015Hahaha.... And now I just got an e-mail form Blizzard, informing me that my account is closed due to suspicious activity. Completing the game yesterday night and after all the bot investigation it seems ... ironic?
- 3016I sent a support ticket to Blizzard detailing what happened... Let's see how it turns out.
- 3018OK, my account has been reactivated. Good work, Blizzard.
- 3719Came back to try Diablo III after the 2.0 patch that changed the loot and difficulty systems. Now there is less and more significant loot, and you can select a difficulty from the beginning. I have chosen Master (4/10) difficulty, the hardest one available for my character and started over with my Demon Hunter, Zark. He is level 8, and monsters in the beginning of the game are pretty fun to fight now. I just met a Zombie with 600 hit points. Makes the game more intense, for sure.
- 3721Zark is now level 18, and although I have died a couple of times, the difficulty seems pretty fair. Something like the Master difficulty should really have been the default starting difficulty, I think a lot of people would have had more fun with it.
- 3722Defeated The Skeleton King on Master difficulty with my Demon Hunter, Zark, who is now level 21. I died 4 times, but as soon as I figured out his very simple pattern and dodging at the right time, it was no big deal.
- 3735Zark is level 24.
- 3736Today I played a bit of Diablo at the office after work with Erik, and continued when I got home. Zark is now level 34 after having defeated The Butcher, who despite his 1,000,000 hit points didn't really have much of a chance against a Master Demon Hunter.
- 3746Completed Act II on Master difficulty with my level 45 Demon Hunter, Zark.
- 3747With a surprise visit from Erik's Monk character, Zark completed Act III on Master difficulty and is now level 52.
- 4583Completed the game with Demon Hunter on Master (4) difficulty. My level 55 Demon Hunter Zark was a ridiculous badass at the end. Even at Master difficulty, I was just standing in front of Diablo, ignoring his attacks, slowly grinding away at his 9 million(!) hitpoints.
- 5493I wanted to get a character to level 60 (the level cap), to check out what happens next. I started a new campaign with my highest level character, the Demon Hunter Zark, on Master difficulty, which is still the highest available, and is murdering my way through Act 1. Zark is now level 58.
- 5494Accomplished Level 60 Demon Hunter. - Now I can raise the difficulty beyond Master! I've raised it to Torment III (7/10), which is pretty cool. A basic Goatman dude has 5 million hitpoints.
- 5495It seems that Paragon points apply to all characters. That's pretty cool.
- 5496I started a new Wizard girl called Incineron, and started playing on Torment III. She's level 13 now. I also used Zark to get my Paragon level up to 6.
