- There is a lot of stuff in this game. It is a scrolling shooter with multiple directions of scrolling, multidirectional fire, limited invincibility, multiple level types and multiple sets of levels, air and ground targets, including shield generators, destructible terrain, boss fights. Gradius and Lifeforce owes a lot to this early shooter.
- The fast linear shots are reminiscent of Defender, which came out the year before and probably served as a great inspiration.
